Cookie Policy
Last Updated: June 29, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners. This site also uses localStorage (a browser storage mechanism) to save your cookie consent preferences.
2. How We Use Google Consent Mode v2
We use Google Consent Mode v2 to respect your choices before any Google scripts collect data. When you first visit the site, all non-essential storage is set to denied by default. Google may receive aggregated, cookieless, non-identifiable signals (modelled conversion data) while consent is denied — no cookies are set and no user-level data is transmitted. Full analytics cookies are only activated after you grant consent.
3. Cookies We Use
The table below lists every cookie and storage item currently deployed on this site.
| Name | Type / Storage | Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cookie_prefs | localStorage | Essential | Stores your cookie consent choices (JSON: analytics, marketing booleans) so the banner is not shown on every visit. | Until cleared by user |
_ga | Cookie | Analytics (consent required) | Google Analytics — distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number. | 2 years |
_ga_* | Cookie | Analytics (consent required) | Google Analytics — maintains session state for GA4 measurement. | 2 years |
_gid | Cookie | Analytics (consent required) | Google Analytics — distinguishes users; expires after 24 hours. | 24 hours |
Marketing cookies: No marketing or advertising cookies are currently deployed on this site. The marketing toggle in our cookie preferences panel is provided for transparency. If marketing cookies are introduced in future, they will be listed here and will only be set with your explicit consent.
4. Managing Your Consent
4a. Via Our Cookie Preferences Panel
- Click in the footer of any page, or click the link in this sentence.
- In the panel, toggle Analytics on or off as desired.
- Click Save My Preferences. Your choice is saved to
cookie_prefsin localStorage and applied immediately. - To withdraw all optional consent, click Reject All Optional. Existing analytics cookies in your browser will remain until they expire naturally; they will not fire new events.
4b. Clearing Your Saved Preference
To reset your preference entirely (so the banner appears again on your next visit):
- Open your browser's developer tools (F12 on most browsers).
- Go to Application → Local Storage → {your site URL}.
- Delete the entry named
cookie_prefs. - Refresh the page — the consent banner will reappear.
4c. Browser Cookie Settings
You can also manage or delete cookies directly through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Note: blocking all cookies may affect how the site functions.
4d. Google Analytics Opt-Out Add-On
You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits across all websites.
5. Third-Party Services
Google LLC operates Google Analytics. Google may transfer data to servers in the United States. Google participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data safeguards.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as new technologies or cookies are introduced. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be flagged on the cookie consent banner so you can review and re-confirm your preferences.
